The size of the final bundle is set by the jaw angle and opening depending on the tube/bar dimension. The gripped bundles are transported to a packing line where they are prepared for shipment.

Renovation of tube drawing line ( Sandvik P+P ) 2000

Stainless steel tube drawing line. Tube semiproduct mounted on a mandrel is drawn through a matrix to the required tube dimensions using a hauling truck. The tube is straightened on straightening machine. After feeding to an adjustable stop it is fixed and split to accurate length. The finished tube is removed by arms to collecting container.

Tube grinding machine ( Sandvik CZ ) 2002

For grinding of stainless steel tubes of 12 to 90 mm diameter and up to 40 m length a line is installed in 40 m length at the grinding machine inlet and 40 m length at the grinding machine outlet. The tubes are ground by 12 grinding stands with separate drives. The stands are fed to contact the tubes separately.

Grinding system: centerless. The tubes are ground by 12 abrasive belts of 150 mm width. The tubes are advanced and guided during the grinding using driving and following rubberized pulleys.

Tube surface quality after grinding: up to 0.4 μm. Tube advance speed: up to 20 m/min

Tube end pointing ( MITTAL Steel Karviná ) 2005

Before cold drawing. Tubes of 10 to 45 mm diameter are automatically fed to rotary forging head. After forging to the required dimension the tube is removed and placed in a pocket.

Tube splitting to fixed length ( ŽELEZIARNE Podbrezová ) 2005

After non-destructive testing the drawn tubes of 15 to 45 mm diameter and up to 9 m length are split at ends and half to fixed lengths. After splitting both tube ends are cleaned by brushes and placed in a collecting pocket.

Boiler tube splitting line ( NIKOTUBE - UA) 2007

Boiler tubes of 34 to 140 mm diameter and 25 m length. The tube ends are trimmed by two circular saws at the line inlet. The tubes are then transported to an ultrasonic testing machine. Any defective tubes are put aside for regrinding and repeated ultrasonic testing. The tubes free of defects are split to accurate lengths and placed in collecting pockets.

Nondestructive testing of tube ends ( NIKOTUBE - UA) 2007

Boiler tubes of 34 - 140 mm diameter and up to 25 m length are stored in a container. They are dosed by 2 pcs from the container. The tubes are magnetized by magnetic bars and both ends of tubes with maximum length of 250 mm are examined in a test chamber. Test method: magnetic particles and UV lamp. The good and defective tubes are placed in collecting pockets at the line end.

Automatic stainless steel tube line ( CENTRAVIS – UA ) 2007

Stainless steel tubes of 10 to 60 mm and up to 25 m length are transported from an annealing furnace to straightening machine. The tubes are semiautomatically sorted and dosed one by one to the straightening machine.

Tube straightening accuracy: 0.2 mm/m

After straightening both tube ends are sealed with plastic plugs and dosed to a tube grinding machine. After regrinding the tubes are transported to a non-destructive testing section. After testing the tubes are spilt to the required lengths and place in four different collecting pockets.

All the production line runs in automatic mode.

Tube grinding machine ( Sandvik - CZ ) 2008

For grinding of stainless steel tubes of 12 to 90 mm diameter and up to 40 m length two parallel lines are installed in 40 m length at the grinding machine inlet and 40 m length at the grinding machine outlet. The grinding machine is equipped with 12 abrasive belts of150 mm width with separate drives. The belts are fed to contact the tubes separately.

Grinding system: centerless. The tubes are advanced and guided during the grinding using driving and following rubberized pulleys.

Tube surface quality after grinding: up to 0.4 μm. Tube advance speed: up to 20 m/min.

Tube adjustment line ( ŽELEZIARNE Podbrezová) - 2008

Cold drawn tubes of 55 mm diameter and up to 17 m length
